Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to wish my Japanese followers a happy Tanabata day. Tanabata, the star festival involves writing wishes on colourful pieces of paper, and then hanging them on bamboo leaves.
Today is also the anniversary of the 7/7 bomb attacks which took place in London five years ago. I’m sure that I write on behalf of all Blackcabquotes followers and friends by wishing that such atrocities NEVER take place in our wonderful world again.
Mark, the driver
Below is a translation of the Japansese Tanabata song;
“The bamboo leaves rustle,
shaking away in the eaves.
The stars twinkle;
Gold and silver grains of sand.”
